Taking India’s logistical network from strength to strength, DTDC, India’s leading express parcel service provider, recently announced the launch of its latest hub & office facility in Chennai. Situated over an area of 18000 sq.ft at the Guindy Industrial Estate in Ekkaduthangal, the latest facility is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and an array of automated features that ensure optimum efficiency and significant growth in the business and revenue generation capabilities of the organization. To celebrate the launch, DTDC will host an inauguration ceremony on 16th February, Friday 9 am onwards within the premises of the latest facility presided over by the organization’s CMD, Shri Subhasish Chakraborty.
DTDC’s latest hub and office is a step further in the organization’s vision to strengthen the regional logistical networks, with focus on users from Southern India that form a major portion of DTDC’s current client base. The facility has been designed to specifically cater to the growing B2C delivery requirements as the region reports a steady expansion of e-commerce activities. DTDC has focused on ensuring the inclusion of technological and automated solutions such as sorting machines, handheld devices, hydraulic trolleys, and several other devices that enhance the facility’s compliance, efficiency, and productivity quotients manifold.
This facility further strengthens the already extensive network of DTDC in Tamil Nadu with 33 hubs and branches along with a vast network of 761 franchisees. With this facility, DTDC also aims to empower the women in the region by providing them with job opportunities across various functions within the facility. The organization has always been at the forefront of endowing under privileged sections of the Indian society with opportunities to progress. In fact, DTDC is currently pursuing an ongoing CSR initiative in Chennai through which it has already managed to support more than 175 elderly people in Vishranthi Ashram, and aims to either adopt or initiate an old-age home to provide sustenance support to 25 more such individuals.
