Gynaecological Endoscopy is the most recent branch of surgery which uses optical instruments. It is very well getting designed to help in diagnosis and management of many abdominal and pelvic disorders of the female in particular. Laparoscopy assisted surgery and irradiation has been reported in an 87 year old female with Ovary tumor and Cancer Cervix in Japan.
Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists (IAGE) has been establishing itself with more than 2500 members all over India to its credit. The first National Conference in Tamil Nadu, is to be held in Chennai with Dr. Jayam Kannan as the organizing chairperson.
The three day conference has focused itself on GUIDE / EMPOWER / TEACH (GET) as its theme. Teaching of surgical procedures is done on 30th March with the support of Institute of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Egmore under the Directorship of Prof. Shaanthy Gunasingh by 12 experts with more than three decades of experience all over India.
