
Working towards the cause for a hunger free world, Chennai Foodbank announced a fund – raising programme, towards providing 11,11,111 meals to the needy.
Chennai Foodbank is a 26 – year – old non – profitable voluntary organization which was started by Rajasthan Youth Association Madras Metro Trust, an ISO 2015 certified trust, as a permanent project and has distributed 3.5 crore plus meals and supports 65 plus institutions by providing grains for their daily needs till date.
Mahatria, the founder of infinitheism, has addressed many national and international forums that include entrepreneurs, professionals, corporate and service organizations.
Sharing the details of the fund – raising programme, the press conference was addressed by Mr. Sudhir Kankaria, Chairman & Managing Trustee, Mr. Sudhir Binjani, Founder President, RYA Madras Metro, Mr. GD Ranka, Founder, Chennai FoodBank, Chennai Foodbank, Mr. Goutham Bothra, Project Chairman RYA, Mr. Sandeep Mehta, Secretary, RYA Madras Metro Trust, Mr. Naveen Agrawal, Event Convenor and RYA Metro Secretary, Mr Ravikant Choudhry, Trust Advisor and Mr A.S. Gopal, Director Infinitheism.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Sudhir Kankaria, said: “Chennai Foodbank has been serving the needy for the last 25 years. This year, with the commencement of our 26th year, we wish to distribute 11,11,111 meals through a fund – raising project. We will be hosting an event with Mahatria’s support, wherein he will share his thoughts and philosophies on how small deeds can create a big impact. We look forward to support and trust from the people of Chennai to help us in our endeavour.”
The fund – raising event will be held on the 17th of March 2019 at University of Madras from 6 PM onwards. The proceeds collected from the donor passes will be donated towards Chennai Foodbank’s initiative of serving 11,11,111 meals.
Additionally, the event will witness the launch of the Chennai Foodbank Silver Jubilee Souvenir which is a book that highlights the journey of Foodbank in the last 25 years.
