Sundaram Finance will be organizing Navaratri Kutcheri in Chennai from October 20 to October 22, 2023. Upcoming classical musicians and students including Harini Prasanna, Samritha Balaji, and Aradhana Padmanabhan will perform during the 3-day Carnatic Musical Festival. The Navaratri Kutcheri is scheduled to commence at Nageswara Rao Park from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m.
On the first day of the festival 14-year-old Harini Prasanna, student of PSBB Millennium School, OMR, accompanied by Mullaivasal Shivashankar C on Violin and Aadithyan Sridharan on Mridangam will be singing the famous keerthanas including Viribon Varnam – Bhairavi Ragam, Gurulekha, Vathapi Ganapathim and Marugelara O Raghava among others. Harini Prasanna is a student of “Gana Kala Shironmani ”Mullaivasal Dr. G. Chandramouli, Mrs. Lakshmi Vasudevan, and Mrs. Archana Sridharan.
Samritha Balaji aged 12, from PSBB Millennium School, OMR, will be performing on the 21st of October 2023, the second day of the Navaratri Kutcheri. Samritha, who is learning Carnatic music from Guru Mrs. Archana Sridharan is expected to sing Gambheera Nattai Varnam, and keerthanas including Sharanu Siddhi Vinayaka, Kaliyuga Varadhan, Nambi Kettavar Evaraiya, Mamava Sada Janani and more. She will be accompanied on mridangam by Aadithyan Sridharan and on violin by Harini Prasanna.
Day three of Navaratri Kutcheri, on 22nd of October will see 12-year-old Aradhana Padmanabhan of Vidya Mandir School, Mylapore, performing keerthanas including Shri Maha Ganapathim, Kaana Kankodi, Shive Paahimam, Durga Devi among others. Currently learning Carnatic music under Guru Meena Sowrirajan, Aradhana will be accompanied on mridangam by Naveen R and by Aniruddh S on violin.
