Sundaram Finance Navaratri Kutcheri regales crowd

A holiday weekend was made memorable as Nageswara Rao park echoed with melodious music emanating from three gifted classical child musicians. The mike less open air Navaratri Kutcheri concerts organized by Sundaram Finance had three budding Carnatic music trained youngsters cast a spell on the assembled crowds on three balmy mornings.

Harini Prasanna, Samritha Balaji, and Aradhana Padmanabhan sang beautifully on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Nageswara Rao Park and was well appreciated by the assembled crowd. The assembled crowds included family and friends of the performing artists, interested early morning walkers and those that were drawn in by the lilting strains of well performed keerthanas.

On the first day of the festival , Friday, October 20, 2023, 14-year-old Harini Prasanna, student of PSBB Millennium School, OMR, was accompanied by Mullaivasal Shivashankar C on Violin and Aadithyan Sridharan on Mridangam and sang famous keerthanas.

Samritha Balaji aged 12, from PSBB Millennium School, OMR, performed on the 21st of October 2023, the second day of the Navaratri Kutcheri singing Gambheera Nattai Varnam, and keerthanas accompanied on mridangam by Aadithyan Sridharan and on violin by Harini Prasanna.

On the last day, on 22nd of October 12-year-old Aradhana Padmanabhan of Vidya Mandir School, Mylapore, performed keerthanas accompanied on violin by Naveen R and mridangam by Aniruddh S.
