The 29th College Day of Misrimal Navajee Munoth Jain Engineering College was held on 25th May 2023, Thursday at 3.00 p.m. at the college AC Auditorium. Shri.Vinod Dugar, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Malawi, Chairman of the JITO Administrative Training Foundation was the Chief Guest of the function. Shri. Lalchand Munoth, Chairman, Dr. Harish L Metha, Secretary : Administration and Shri. Jaswant Munoth, Secretary: Academic and Finance graced the occasion. The Members of the Tamilnadu Educational and Medical Foundation (Formerly Tamilnadu Educational and Medical Trust) and Members of the college Governing Council participated in the function.
The Programme started with an ‘Invocation’, seeking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by a Cultural performance by the students. The ‘Welcome Address’ was given by the honourable Chairman, Shri. Lalchand Munoth and the Principal, Dr. C. Chandrasekar Christopher, presented the ‘Annual Report’, highlighting the academic activities and achievements of various Departments and Divisions, Students and Faculty members.
Mr.K.Dhinakaran, Head of the Department/AI&DS, introduced the Chief Guest, Shri.Vinod Dugar to the august audience. The Chief Guest was felicitated by Shri. Lalchand Munoth, the Chairman, Dr. Harish L Metha, Secretary : Administration and Shri. Jaswant Munoth, Secretary: Academic and Finance with Bouquet, Shawl and Memento respectively.
The Chief Guest in his address congratulated the Management, Principal, Faculty members and the Students for their academic excellence. He also adored and appreciated the Management for providing Education as a Service. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of Employability Skills and Business Management in Engineering. He wished the institution and the students to work for the development of the country. Various Awards, Medals, Certificates, Prizes and Cash Awards were given to the Students, Faculty Members, Non-Teaching Staff, Employees of various Departments and Divisions by the Chief Guest. The programme ended gracefully with the ‘Vote of Thanks’ proposed by Mrs.V.Nandhini, Associate Professor/Department of IT followed by the ‘National Anthem’.
