The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) in association with Guidance TN is hosting India’s first “Global Yaadhum Oorae Conclave” in Chennai (India) on the 29th, 30th & 31st of October 2020 (Thursday to Saturday). The three-day conclave (virtual) is expected to be witnessed by around 10,000 members from over 38 countries.
The main objective of this conclave is to bring together the members of the global Tamil community and engage with them meaningfully through arts, culture, business, technology and other avenues. The conclave would also showcase the Tamil culture and traditions through events, expo and deliberations.
Commenting on the Global Yaadhum Oorae Conclave (The World is one!), Mr. Ar Rm Arun, President, SICCI, said “We are honoured to host this conclave in association with Guidance TN under the theme “Redefining the engagement with the Tamil diaspora” aims at creating an online platform for the Global Tamil fraternity, work as a guidance bureau to handle all investment related queries and promoting potential business investment opportunities”. He added, “Tamil speaking population is spread across the globe, constituting over 25% of Indian’s living in other countries and they play a pivotal role in the economic and cultural development”.
Dr. Neeraj Mittal, IAS., MD & CEO Guidance spoke and said “Yaadhum Oorae Global Conclave initiative was the brainchild of our Hon’ble Chief Minister. Following his announcement in the Legislative Assembly, that under Rule 110 A, a dedicated platform would be set up with the help of Guidance Team under the name ‘Yaadhum Oorae’, he took this a step further and launched this initiative during his official tour to USA in September 2019”.
Dr. Mittal further said, “The summit will illustrate the strength of global Tamil association and will celebrate the Tamil fraternity with its inherent vibrant traditions, while also capturing the cultural and entrepreneurial spirit of the State”. He also said, “The main attraction of the event was a virtual 3D expo, which will showcase the business innovations while facilitating b2b interactions which is crucial especially in these covid pandemic times”.
The three day conclave include several interesting events like Hackathon, Startup awards, Writer’s Launchpad, 3D Expo, Conferences, Panel discussions and Cultural events etc. and will be having many prominent domestic and international sponsors.
